- The uberization of health: what new economic and collaborative model can we envisage?
- The bionic man: how to find an economic model to become autonomous?
- Artificial intelligence (bionics, home automation, drone ...) to the onslaught of the real economy.
Honorable Presidents, Dear Delegates,
As a delegation from Brazil, we can consider uberization of health. In some parts of the world, in just a few minutes, the platform puts the patient in touch with the doctor closest to his home, who travels 24 hours a day, seven days a week. In the mean time, the doctors and medical staff in the hospitals of the city are really starting to get angry because of this change that they see as a rip off of patients by uberization. The uberization is running but is done very slowly. Drugstore products may be sold online but there is currently no authorization that allows it. What will become of existing pharmacies and their staff and hospital doctors?
With regard to the bionic man, it is interesting and good for our society that men can repair their disability, get back their sight and hearing, be able to walk and talk as they did before having an accident or an illness. Thanks to bionics development, the melding of a man and a machine became a reality. The cutting edge technology succeeded in producing prosthetic body part for humans which enable them to become effective members able to contribute in society. But how safe are these artificial parts? Indeed, any object created could be the subject of a medical review and could be tested by different people to show its effectiveness but also to show that there is no problem of allergy or virus that could be created because of this. Large sums of money could be disbursed for these inventions. People whose work has proven effective would be rewarded and could work in close cooperation with the medical field. Statutes would then be created.
Artificial intelligence could be beneficial to our society both through productivity gains from new technologies and rising consumer demand. On the other hand, developing countries such as Latin America and Africa, should benefit from an additional growth of 5.6% and the adoption rates of artificial intelligence technologies should be higher in the health, automotive and financial sectors to benefit the most from the advent of artificial intelligence, which will increase productivity, product value and consumption. As the delegation of Brazil, we believe that the use of artificial intelligence will be beneficial but we will only see the positive consequences when our economy improves and that is in a few years.
Thank you for listening,
