Committee : ECOSOC
Problematic : UBERISATION OF HEALTH: what new economic and collaborative model can we consider ?
- Bearing in mind that new threats from infectious diseases arise from changing socio-demographics including increased travel, immunosuppression and new types of viruses or bacteria.
- Fully aware that many vital specialties, including paediatrics, emergency medicine and mental health, are struggling with severe staff shortages
- Deeply conscious that the current financial crisis, rising costs of services, energy and supplies; innovations and technological breakthroughs that require more investment – along with higher numbers of people to cater for – all spell out a huge economic disaster for health organisations such as the Nhs.
- Taking note that at some emergency wards, patients wait more than 12 hours before they are tended to.
-Having considered the “Uberisation” of health growing in popularity and the increase of companies exploring the tried-and-tested model of “Uber for X”.

6. Further requests that care sharing platforms agree to ensure workers are paid at least the Living Wage.
7. Supports research into how sharing models can improve the delivery of services to the UK public.
8. Further invites to work with cities and local areas to see how sharing economy approaches can help areas to work better together and use resources more efficiently
9. Reaffirms the research, collect and analysis of data to improve the understanding of public health challenges, and come up with answers to public health problems.
10. Invites radical changes to the way the NHS system works, and better utilisation of the budget invested.
